When are tours available?
In general, tours are available every day of the year except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. Beat the heat and the crowds and consider a night tour of the DC Monuments!
What is the tour itinerary and are there variations?
The tour sites to be visited are listed on our website. Variations are considered based on the desires of the traveler. CONTACT US to discuss desired variations.
Why does a tour last so long? Competitors offer tours covering “everything” in Washington in 2 or 3 hours.
We can scale the length of the tour to your needs. We don't rush our customers through their tour. In fact, our customers control the length of time on tour. If desired, you will be seated for your lunch. The vehicle stops on customer command. As a private group, you have the ability to ask questions as they arise and not feel like you are holding back other patrons. Travel between each waypoint will be a fine time to talk about other areas you are passing in the city and discuss in-depth the locations you are visiting.
Is lunch provided?
Yes, you will be served a seated lunch at an area Officer's Club or the Army Navy Country Club. Lunch menus for each tour are available upon request. There are no nearby Officer's Clubs on the Booth Escape Tour so a stop will be made at a local restaurant. If an a la carte tour is constructed, lunch may not be available or built into the quoted price. Lunch not included on the Washington Monument, Old Town Alexandria, or any of the Mercy Street themed tours.
How much does a Washington DC trip cost and what are the additional fees?
Prices for tours are noted on our webpage. A la carte tours are available. CONTACT US for pricing for a la carte tours. There is a $50 surcharge for pick-up and drop-off outside the Capital Beltway.
Where will I be picked up?
We will pick you up and drop you off at your lodging location or another agreed convenient place. Pick up at Reagan National Airport is also an option if you would like to begin your tour immediately upon arrival in DC.
What does the traveler need to bring, if anything, on the tour?
Comfortable shoes are a must. If a lunch at a Country or Officer's Club environment is desired, proper attire is required. Men: Slacks or golf shorts, collared shirt. Ladies: Slacks, skirt, dress, or golf shorts, collared shirt or blouse.
What is the cancellation policy?
Once a tour is booked, we can offer a refund only if we are able to book an equal number of customers for a tour on that same day. The more advanced notice given on cancellation, the better our chances of rebooking with another customer and providing a refund.
What happens if DC Military Tours has to cancel a tour due to circumstances out of their control? (i.e. war or threat of war, terrorist activity, natural disaster, blizzard, hurricane)
In these types of circumstance a full refund or a rescheduled date will be offered to the customer.
What is the tour payment policy?
Credit Card preferred via our website. Checks are accepted but tour will not be guaranteed until the check has cleared. CONTACT US for check mailing instructions.
