This Northern Virginia Park Authority site is in the core of Old Town and is a high-quality historic venue:

Carlyle House

  • Sun: 12:00-4:00
  • Mon-Tue: 10:00-4:00
  • Wed: Closed
  • Thu-Sat: 10:00-4:00

Also, Historic Christ Church, an active Episcopal congregation, is open for tours on the following schedule:

  • Tuesdays: Noon – 4:00 p.m.
  • Wednesdays: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Thursdays & Fridays: 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturdays: Noon – 4:00 p.m.
  • Sundays: 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

And let’s not forget our favorite historic site in Old Town, a neighborhood run non-profit art gallery and performing arts venue. The Athenaeum is open every Thu-Sun 12:00-4:00. Admission is always free.
