In general, tours are available every day of the year except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day. We have limited availability on Sundays.
The attractions to be discovered are described on each of our tour webpages. Variations are considered based on the desires of the traveler. CONTACT US to discuss desired variations.
We can scale the length of the tour to your needs. We don't rush our customers through their tour. In fact, our customers control the length of time on tour. If desired, you will be seated for your lunch. The vehicle stops on customer command. As a private group, you have the ability to ask questions as they arise and not feel like you are holding back other patrons. Travel between each waypoint will be a fine time to talk about other areas you are passing in the city and discuss in-depth the locations you are visiting.
No, lunch costs are not included. However, on our full day tours a stop can be made at a recommended local restaurant. We encourage our customers to bring snacks aboard, skip lunch, and see more of the area.
Prices for tours vary based on length, attraction, and time of year. Price includes hotel pick-up and drop-off, transportation, guide services, attraction admission and parking fees. A la carte tours are available. CONTACT US for pricing for a la carte tours. There is a $100 surcharge for pick-up and drop-off outside the Capital Beltway.
We will pick you up and drop you off at your lodging location or another agreed convenient place. Pick up at Reagan National Airport or Union Station is also an option if you would like to begin your tour immediately upon arrival in DC. Dropoff at Reagan Airport or Union Station is also feasible
Comfortable shoes are a must. If a lunch at a Country or Officer's Club environment is desired, proper attire is required. Men: Slacks or golf shorts, collared shirt. Ladies: Slacks, skirt, dress, or golf shorts, collared shirt or blouse. We have umbrellas and ponchos available in case of rain. And of course, bring pocket money if you enjoy gift shops.
Once a tour is booked, we can offer a refund only if we are able to book a customer for a tour on that same day. The more advanced notice given on cancellation, the better our chances of rebooking with another customer and providing a refund. We do offer full refunds if tour attractions are closed by a government authority on the date of your booking.
In these types of circumstance a full refund or a rescheduled date will be offered to the customer.
Credit Card preferred via our website. Checks are accepted but the tour will not be guaranteed until the check has cleared. CONTACT US for check mailing instructions.
The Tidal Basin was once the site of one of Washington’s most popular beaches, featuring a diving platform and a cabana. The beach was segregated and the Senate voted to close the white bathing beach in 1925. It closed due to concerns about pollution and because of pressures from African American leaders to build a black bathing beach on the other side of the Tidal Basin.
